We need to give, and St. Paul’s needs your gifts. All of us have a need to give, and the closer we get to tithing (giving 10%) the first fruits of our income the better we feel and the closer we come to what Scripture teaches. Our Members at Van Dyne nursing home who are confined to wheelchairs often express a desire to give something back to God. It is a matter of dignity and an act of thanksgiving that we all share. Even if St. Paul’s could totally function with its endowment income all of us would have a need to give. But the truth is that St. Paul’s needs gifts from its parishioners in order to carry out and expand our mission and ministry in Syracuse, the region, and the Diocese of Central New York. |
