Christian Formation

Adults:  There are adult forums held on a variety of topics between services on most Sunday mornings. Recent topics include: prayer, the politics of sacred space (the Holy Land), and Christianity and the environment. The offerings vary seasonally, so please check our publications for up to date information.

Children: All God’s Children:  A program which begins at 11:45 for children.  It takes place in the 2nd floor classrooms and is led by Dean Tom Luck with assistance from others.

Formerly called Christian Education, these programs and activities of the Church are now referred to as Christian Formation in the spirit of Anthony Robinson's book "Transforming Congregational Culture", and the church's new strategic plan called "Embracing our Future". Being continually formed and reformed as Christians suggests that being a Christian implies an ongoing, dynamic, and changing process and understanding  both of what Christianity is for us, and of who we are as Christians. One important element in that process is "educational" in the sense of learning about and thinking through what it means to be Christian -- at all levels of human (and Christian) development.  We hope the programs described below "work" for you, and we invite you to participate where, how, and when you can.
