The Samaritan Center - This ecumenical program was founded at St. Paul's Cathedral in 1980 and is now operated under the auspices of an autonomous, incorporated Board of Directors. Meals are prepared and served on-site each day of the year under the supervision of an Operations Manager and volunteers from local churches, synagogues and service organizations. Included in the program is a Jobs Plus training component. The Cathedral continues to support heavily this ministry, donating space, utilities and leadership, assisting in day to day operations and management. Members of St. Paul's are assigned to volunteer at the Center three times a year. Participants assist in the preparation and serving of the meals, and in cleaning up the dining room at the end of the meal. Outreach Committee - The Outreach Committee is responsible to help coordinate the various Cathedral outreach ministries, to evaluate those ministries, and to recommend new areas for involvement. Current areas of interest include the Samaritan Center, Interreligious Council of Central NY, and the administration of the Ruth Kimber Outreach Fund. National Church Programs - Members of St. Paul's participate in programs such as the Episcopal Relief and Development, Cristosal, and the United Thank Offering. Murder Victim Memorial Service - This is a group of mothers, fathers, grandparents, sisters, brothers, children, and anyone grieved by the violence of murder. Each Spring a memorial service is held at St. Paul’s. N.A.—Meetings are held on Tuesday and Friday Mornings in the Brewster Room at 7:45.
