St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral offers one of the finest music programs in Central New York. Offering music in the sacred and liturgical repertoire, St. Paul's continues its tradition to provide many unique musical opportunities for the entire community.

St. Paul’s Music Program provides music at weekly services in the Anglican tradition as well as Evensong services and music for the high liturgical seasons of Christmas and Easter, as well as services contracted by the Diocese.

David Johnston is an American born contemporary composer who has lived and worked in Austria for the last 40 years.  The piece above was written for the St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir.

Other musical offerings include concerts by guest artists from the Central New York community, the United States and Europe.

An Audition is required to Join the Cathedral Choir whose commitment to provide sacred music of excellence, both ancient and modern has been recognized by the Diocese of Central New York Community.

The Cathedral Choir has sun for Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa, St. George’s Cathedral Kingston, Trinity Church, Watertown, and the Bishop’s Advent Lessons and Carols service at The Church of the Saviour, Syracuse.  The Cathedral Choir offers a traditional Good Friday Masterwork including soloists, orchestra and special guest conductors.  These works have included the Durufle, Faure, Mozart, and Rutter Requiems, and the Haydn and Pergolessi Stabat Maters. 

The Cathedral Choir has been recorded and broadcast by WCNY Classic FM Radio.
